Ibrahim Albuainain is a Qatari writer, art director, and filmmaker whose passion for art began in childhood, driven by a curiosity to understand the magic behind cartoon animation and stop-motion. Over the years, he dedicated extensive research and hands on experimentation to creating animatable puppets and handcrafted worlds. He is best known for his stop-motion film The Last Drop of Oil (2012), which screened at several international festivals, including the Family Film Festival in Hollywood, and won an award at the Ras Al Khaimah Film Festival. Ibrahim is a grantee of the Doha Film Institute for both his 3D animated film Smile You Deserve It and his stop-motion animated film Civilization of Equality, the latter screened in more than 15 film festivals around the world, including at the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film.

Caroline Amelia Hartanti (or Caro) is a visual artist and animator from Jakarta, Indonesia. She graduated from the Film and Animation program in 2021 and has recently been honing her skills in visual arts in Western Australia. Although she holds a bachelor’s degree in animation, her skill in creating stop-motion animation is largely self-taught, driven by her keen curiosity in the field. Her latest stop-motion animated short film, titled “Expect the Unexpected,” has been screened and selected as one of the top 10 entries in the Bristol 48hr Puppet Film Challenge in the UK (2023). Additionally, a 2D-style short animated film titled "Yum-Yam" has also been screened at the 10 Seconds Animation Micro Screening event in Bangkok, Thailand (2025). She currently works as a freelancer in the fields of art and animation, while also working on her own personal passion project: a stop-motion animated miniseries titled BWAH Club, which is still in development.

I’ve spent my career breathing life into some of the world’s most celebrated stop-motion films. Most recently, I served as Senior Stop-Motion Animator on 'Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio', winner of the Oscar® and 71 other awards. My filmography includes 'Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nuggets' from the legendary Aardman, the Oscar®-nominated 'Kubo and the Two Strings' (LAIKA, 2016), and Wes Anderson’s 'Isle of Dogs (2018)'. As a director, I created 'Sol em Dó Ré Mi' (2024), a vibrant children’s TV series about a cheerful musician who discovers that routines can be magical adventures. I am also directing 'Ana Bolinha', another colorful and playful series for young audiences. My upcoming work includes 'Wildwood', LAIKA’s next feature, set for release in 2026.

My name is Andrei Simkin (https://www.linkedin.com/in/andreisimkin/). I was born in 1999 and I have been residing in Spain since 2012. I graduated in film studies at ESCAC university, specializing in Animation and VFX. Following my passion for stop-motion and character animation, between 2022 and 2023 I created KAPITAN, my first short film directed and produced in collaboration with ESCAC Films (which in 2024 began its festival circuit and distribution with selections at the Málaga Festival, Animac (Lleida) and Animation Dingle (Dublin)). I have recently returned to Spain after spending time in Portland, Oregon, where I worked as a stop-motion animator at the amazing LAIKA studio on the feature film "Wildwood", while continuing to develop my authorial projects, focusing my work on a fantastical imaginary and humor. My recent work this year was directing the animation for an upcoming stop-motion shortfilm "BOBS", produced by "IVI Productions" and directed by Julia Marcó. I also have experience in other different types of animation too (3D, 2D, VR) and extra knowledge in other areas, such as photography/cinematography, script-writing, editing, production, among others.
